  • During your first session, we will discuss your goals for counselling and the number of sessions needed to achieve these goals.
  • M any clients find that they've met their goals in 2 to 6 months. Depending on your needs and goals, it might take longer.

How can I know whether you are able to help me?

I'm so glad you asked! To have a successful therapy, I believe that there are 2 important factors:

  • A good rapport and working counsellor-client relationship
  • A personalised treatment plan that addresses your needs, life situation, and goals
Here are 3 simple steps to find out whether we will be a good fit:
  1. Visit my About page to learn more about my professional background, qualifications and therapy approach.
  2. Visit my Services page to learn more about the type of counselling services and self-development courses that I offer.
  3. Book a free initial consultation with me by filling up the form on my Contact page.
  • This is a 15-minute phone call that I offer to all potential clients to let us get to know each other.
  • I'll ask you about why you're seeking counselling or coaching and tell you more about my approach.
  • You can ask me any questions to help you decide whether you'll like to schedule a session.
  • You can start with a session first, and then sign up for a package deal when you determine that we are a good fit.
  • To learn more, here's an article I wrote about what to expect in a typical first counselling session and how to get the most out of your therapy.

If you are a parent or an adolescent (below 16 years old) seeking counselling...

If you are a parent/legal guardian looking to arrange counselling for your child or adolescent (below 16 years old), we strongly recommend you to meet the counsellor for a session without the child/adolescent first. This enables the counsellor to have a better understanding of the family and concerns for the child/adolescent. Thereafter, the counsellor will meet the child/adolescent for counselling *in private. If you are an adolescent (below 16 years old) seeking counselling, we require your parent/legal guardian's consent and their emergency contact details. Your parent/s or legal guardian is thus required to attend the first counselling session with you. Thereafter, the counsellor will meet you for counselling sessions in private, *without the presence of your parents/guardians. *Limits to Confidentiality: Information shared during counselling is kept confidential, with the exceptions of the counsellor's duty to warn and protect. Counsellor's Duty to Warn and Protect: Where there is a plan/threat to self-harm or harm another person, the counsellor is required to notify the client's family, warn the possible victim and notify legal authorities.

Who do you not work with?

Unfortunately, we will not be accepting clients that are suicidal, homicidal, are having psychotic symptoms or we otherwise do not think we can help through online counselling. We also will not be accepting clients that cannot pay the full fee.
